The Founder Visibility Kit
Six short sections. Work through them in order, or jump to what you need most right now.
Founder, Seedscale Agency
I spent 15 years building the marketing engines behind some very big audiences — and I've seen exactly what separates the founders who get noticed from the ones who stay invisible.
Here's the truth those numbers taught me: visibility is a system you can build in an afternoon and run in minutes a day. The founders who grow have a clear one-line message, a small set of hooks that sound like them, and a rhythm they can actually keep.
I made this kit for female founders because I've watched too many brilliant women build real businesses that nobody hears about — while people with better packaging and thinner results take up all the air. Your work deserves the audience. This kit is the packaging.
Every section here takes minutes to put into practice. Let's go.
People decide in about two seconds whether to follow you. A great bio tells the right person "this account is for you" — instantly.
✏️ Do it now: write your version of the formula, read it out loud, and cut every word you'd never say to a friend.
These 20 formulas keep working because they match how people actually watch. Retention studies across millions of reels found "specific outcome" hooks hold roughly 45% of viewers, POV-style realism holds about 42%, and unpopular opinions hold about 38% — the three strongest patterns on the platform right now.
"Stop scrolling if you're a founder who [specific struggle]."Direct call-out — filters for exactly your person in half a second.
"I did [specific action] every day for 30 days. Here's what happened."Specific-outcome hook — the top retention performer on the platform.
"How I went from [before] to [after] in [timeframe]."Transformation arc — viewers stay to learn the how.
"3 signs you're [problem] — and what to do about each one."Diagnostic lists earn saves; saves tell the algorithm to push you.
"Unpopular opinion: [contrarian take on your niche]."Among the highest-retention openers; mild disagreement fuels comments.
"The biggest mistake I see [your audience] make with [topic]."Authority framing plus the viewer's fear of making it too.
"If I were starting my [business type] from zero in 2026, here's exactly what I'd do.""Exactly" promises a plan, and plans get saved.
"Things I wish I knew before [pricing my offer / launching / quitting my job]."Regret framing feels generous instead of preachy.
"POV: you're a founder and [hyper-relatable moment]."POV realism — the #2 retention formula, perfect for text-overlay reels.
"I tested [tool/strategy] for 30 days so you don't have to."You absorb the risk; the viewer gets the shortcut.
"Nobody talks about this part of [your industry]."Insider-secret framing — implies the viewer is getting the real story.
"Steal my exact [template/script/checklist] — it's free."Direct value hook. Pair it with your lead magnet link (see Part 6).
"This feels illegal to know."Pure curiosity spike — pay it off within 5 seconds or retention dies.
"Watch me [build / write / package the thing] in real time."Process content builds trust and works perfectly on mute.
"5 [tools/habits] I can't run my business without."Listicle + tools = the most shareable combo in the founder niche.
"Read this if you're building a business with [kids at home / a 9-to-5 / no team]."Constraint call-out — hyper-specific relatability beats broad appeal.
"Here's what [$500 / one hour] with me actually gets you."Transparency converts silent lurkers into buyers.
"The question I get asked most: [question]. My honest answer:""Honest" signals a real take is coming, with no pitch attached.
"Before you post another reel, do this."Interrupts the exact behavior your viewer is doing right now.
"Say this the next time a client asks for a discount."Word-for-word scripts are the most-saved format on Instagram.
Trial Reels are Instagram's built-in testing lab. Flip the Trial toggle before you share, and the reel goes out only to people who don't follow you. Your followers never see the experiment. You'll need a professional account, and Instagram rolls the feature out to accounts with roughly 1,000+ followers.
This removes the scariest part of posting — looking messy in front of the audience you already earned. Every trial is a free audition in front of strangers, and strangers are exactly where growth comes from.
Run 2–3 Trial Reels a week. More trials mean more data, more reach, and faster learning about what your audience responds to.
Change one variable at a time. Same video with two different hooks from Part 3, or same hook with two different trending sounds. One variable per test, or you'll never know what worked.
Read the results after ~24 hours. Instagram shows you views, watch time, and engagement from non-followers. Look for hooks that hold 70%+ of viewers through second 3 and pull new follows.
Share the winners. Turn on auto-share so strong trials post to your followers automatically, or share them manually once the data's in. Losers quietly disappear and cost you nothing.
Test adjacent topics. Curious whether your audience wants behind-the-scenes, pricing talk, or personal story content? Trial it. If a tangent hits, you've found a new growth lane. If it flops, nobody you know ever saw it.
🎬 Rule of thumb: when a Trial Reel wins, remake that hook into three more reels before you move on. Winners repeat.
Momentum beats perfection. Each day takes 15–30 minutes.
Rewrite your bio using the Founder Bio Formula. Update your link and profile photo while you're there.
Post your story using Hook #3 or #8 — why you started, in under 150 words. Pin it.
Engage before you create. Leave 10 genuine comments on accounts your ideal customer follows. Skip "love this!" and say something real.
Share proof. A result, a review, a before/after, a milestone. Use Hook #2 or #17 to frame it.
Teach one thing you know so well it feels obvious. That's exactly the content your audience saves. Have Trial Reels access? Run it as a trial with two different hooks.
Go direct. Send 3 warm DMs — past customers, collaborators, or founders you admire. Open genuine conversations and save any pitch for later.
Review + repeat. Check which post got the most reach and saves. Make next week's version of it. That's your rhythm now.
Instagram can change the algorithm, restrict an account, or bury your reach overnight — and every follower you've earned lives on that rented ground. An email list moves the relationship onto ground you control. When you launch something, the sale happens in the inbox, where you reach 100% of your people every time you hit send.
Start now, while your audience is small. A list of 200 warm subscribers who chose you will outsell 20,000 passive followers on launch day.
Instantly — deliver the goods. Send the lead magnet, tell them exactly what to do with it first, and ask one question they can reply to. Replies train inboxes to trust you.
Day 1 — tell your story. Who you are, why you do this, and the one belief that drives your work. Connection here is what earns opens forever after.
Day 3 — help them win, then point the way. Push them to actually use the freebie, share your best related tip, and name the next step for whoever wants more.
Write like a person. One idea and one call-to-action per email — a welcome series with five links per email reads like a brochure and gets deleted like one.
💌 And here's the fun part: you're inside this exact system right now. This kit is the lead magnet, and the three emails arriving in your inbox this week are the welcome series. Steal the structure for your own business — it's yours now.
In 60 minutes I'll audit your content, lock in your positioning, and hand you a 30-day calendar with hooks you can start using tomorrow. Recording and written summary included.
